Musings on the Strong Oak

I have found you can learn a lot from nature and, in particular, from plants. How to stand tall despite the raging storms. How to grow deep roots, so that you receive the ingredients you need to grow strong. How to be resilient and thrive when all the odds are against you. So, as I walked along the riverwalk I looked at the nature around me. I learned from them and took photographs of them to help others learn. Strong oaks that survived even the toughest storms and have centuries of history written in their rings. Resilient flowers that grew in the most unexpected places. Cattails that bent to the wind but still found the strength to protect the creatures that lived below them. I hope that as you observe these images you will also see these things grow and learn from them as well.
