From the Quiet

As someone with severe anxiety, I tend to seek places that are hidden away from crowds and people. Places to rest and recharge. As a junior at Trinity University in San Antonio, I found a lot of these spaces around the campus. However, throughout this project of trying to capture how these spaces made me feel I also began to look at them in a new light. They tended to be dark spaces that would fill up with natural light during the day. They were quiet, almost abandoned places that to me were peaceful because they were empty, but to others, they were strange to see so empty. However, my haven was these places and I hope you find the same sense of calm I felt being there.
