The Journey Collection, part 3
With all the change in the air, I should have known that my first day walking the Camino de Santiago wouldn't be what I expected. As someone with ADHD, I try to manage my life through order and structure. However, the Journey I went on showed me the joy of going on side quests and loosening up my structure. Before I went walking that day I walked with two friends to a bookstore on the hunt for art supplies. Normally I wouldn't have gone, but when I did I was able to experience the joy of just talking and exploring, and the pictures I took of that sidequest are still my favourite. However, I also did walk from Sarria to our next stop. It was tough and I knew I hadn't trained nearly enough for the journey ahead of me. But that day I had fun, enjoyed myself and learned more about the people around me.
