The Difficult Road

We all have choices in life, moments when we decide between the easy way out or the more difficult way. I was in a lot of pain due to an injury in my knee the day before. However, despite walking slowly and pushing through I managed to stay near the front of the group. When we caught up to some people ahead of us, we had to decide. Take the road that would be more challenging or go the easier way. I wanted to take the easier road, but the rest wanted the more difficult one. I will always thank them for making that choice. Because what I learned that day was sometimes the harder the road we walk becomes, the higher the reward we get because of it. I saw a stunning view of a trail that looked like a waterfall. It wasn't that difficult since it wasn't very wet, and it was an amazing reward.
